# POST_BOOT_DIAGNOSTICS
Today did not go quite as planned. I have been burning the candle at both ends for the past few months. This morning, I was not as eager to open my eyes as what I usually am. As you can probably see I did spend some time tweaking the layout and theme a little bit.
I will still have some extra time tomorrow to tinker with this, but then Monday it is right back to trying to get the lab set up the way that I want. I have some ideas about how I want it and exactly what each machine is going to do, I just need undistracted time to set it all up.
Family time is very important as we age, because as we age our loved ones also age. When we are young time is perhaps the one thing that we almost all take for granted. But, there will not always be more time, so use it in the most beneficial way possible.
This entire process has been quite beneficial to me, personally and as such it also serves a purpose professionally. There are still more changes on the horizon here, but in order to keep making progress I need to treat this just like a job or an education.
Monday through Friday, I spend most of my time immersed in projects, some of which will soon end up listed here on the projects page. I have a set routine that I try to maintain because it helps keep me moving forward. When I deviate from that, I often find it is easy to stay off track.
I took a few minutes and reviewed logs this evening. Less than 24 hours live, and its been scanned for all kinds of different known exploitable code. I knew that things happened fast, but I wasn't expecting to see it quite that soon.

There was a time I would not have paid attention to the logs like this, but with where I want to put myself within the next couple of years, there is a definite benefit to this. There are ways to deal with issues like this that might provide an opportunity for them to think about what they are actually scanning.
That is a story for another day though. Thanks for stopping by.
